Brief

A familiar name in the south of England thanks to the number of recycling facilities they operate, the Raymond Brown Group is one the largest skip hire companies in the UK. The Group also offers recycling, engineering and aggregate sourcing. The Group turned to Web Design Southampton to spruce up their existing website and create a bespoke system for skip hire quotation and ordering. The upgraded website then needed to be integrated with the bespoke skip hire system so clients could move seamlessly between the main site and the ordering and quotation system.

Approach

With the need to create a bespoke system, the Web Design Southampton designers and developers spent several hours with the Raymond Brown team over the course of a number of meetings. This time was essential to allow us to work together to create a full scope for the web design project and understand the complexities and challenges of the bespoke skip hire quotation and reservation system. At stage two of the process, we created wire frames to give both our team and the Raymond Brown team a full understanding of the complex site and its requirements. We recommended WordPress for the static web pages and then, once the web design and booking system were complete integrated the too. The result is a seamless user experience, and a smooth transition from browsing, to requesting a quote, to booking a skip.

Recruitment: A new recruitment system has been integrated with the site so those interested in joining the team can browse vacancies and upload their CVs. The Raymond Brown team can even schedule interviews with interesting candidates directly from the new site.
